1.Scope of Application
The PNL-32 leakage protection circuit breaker is designed for single-phase residential circuits with alternating current(AC)at 50Hz or 60Hz and a rated voltage up to 230V.It provides protection against electric shock and safe guards against overload and short circuits in household electrical systems.Featuring a compact design and high breaking capacity,the device ensures simultaneous disconnection of neutral and live wires,maintaining protection even when live wires are reversed.Over voltage protection can be added upon request.The product complies with the following standards:IEC61009-1 and GBL6917.1.
2.Normal working conditions
a.The altitude should not exceed 2000 meters;
b.The ambient air temperature must be between-5℃ and +40℃,with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35℃;
c.The relative humidity of the surrounding air should not exceed 50%when the ambent air temperature is+40℃.Under lower temperatures,a higher relative humidity is permissible,with the maximum average relative humidity in the wettest month reaching 90%,and the average minimum temperature of that month being+25℃
d.Installation Requirements:The extermal magnetic field at the installation site must not exceed five times the geomagnetic field.Leakage circuit breakers should be installed vertically,with the handle facing upward for power connectionThe installation location must be free from significant impacts or vibrations.
e.Installation category:Level or Level II;
f.Pollution level:Level 2;
g.Installation method:mounted on standard rails;
h.The wiring method includes upper and lower entry types,with connections secured by screws.
3.Classification
a.Rated current options:6A,10A,16A,20A,25A,and 32A.
b.By wining count:single-pole two-wire configuration(IP+neutral wire);
c.The instantaneous trip unit is of type C.
4.Structure and Working Principle
4.1 Structure
The leakage circuit breaker is composed of the DJPN-32senies circuit breaker and the leakage trip unit
The leakage circuit breaker is mainly composed of the zero sequence transformer,the electronic discrimination control circuit,the trip lever and the test button.
4.2 operational principle
When the handle of the residual current circuit breaker is turned to the ON position,the mechanical mechanism drives the moving contact to reliably connect with the stationary contact,completing the circuit.During an overload fault,the overcurrent bends the thermal bimetal licelement,which pushes the lever to reset the mechanical locking mechanism.The moving contact then rapidly separates from the stationary contact,achieving circuit disconnection.In the event of a short circuit,the short-circuit current activates the instantaneous tripping device,causing the ironcore push rod to operate the lever and reset the locking mechanism,there by interrupting the circuit.For leakage or electric shock faults,the signal from the zero-sequence transformer triggers the thyristor to conduct,activating the leakage tripping device's iron core.The push rod then disengages the circuit breaker,cutting off the power supply within 0.1 seconds to provide leakage protection.

6.Usage and Maintenance
a.To close the residual current circuit breaker,push the handle upward toward the ON arrow.To open it,pull the handle downward toward the OFF arrow.
b.After the leakage circuit breaker has been in operation for a certain period (usually one month),the test button should be pressed while it is closed to check whether the leakage protection performance is normal and reliable.Each time the test button is pressed,the leakage circuit breaker should be interrupted once.If it malfunctions,the device should be removed and sent to the manufacturer for repair.
7.Important Notes
a.The leakage circuit breaker must not be exposed to rain or snow during transportation,storage,and use.
b.The leakage circuit breaker cannot protect against electric shock hazards caused by simultaneous contact with two lines of the protected circuit.
c.The installed residual current circuit breaker should operate at a reduced capacity
during use,with a reduction factor of 0.8 compared to the original capacity
User Guide
■Press the test button once a month to check the action of the leakage protection device.
■When the leakage protection device is activated,the front of the device has a red
mechanical indicator. When the circuit breaker is closed again,the protection device will reset automatically.
